Steve Mackay was at the heart of the action when US rock took off in the 70s and 80s.

He played in the Stooges and the Violent Femmes, two iconic rock bands from that era. He was a close friend of Stooges frontman Iggy Pop, a rockstar known for outrageous antics such as rolling around in broken glass, exposing himself and vomiting on stage.

Mackay featured on Shanghai-based punk band Round Eye‘s recently released LP, and lead singer Chachy joined in the podcast.
