A mother coddling her children, treating her children like they're not capable of doing what dad tells them to do creates in them a sense that they are incapable.
The problem at the center of it is that women are emotionally weak, and indulge in their every emotion. She can't stomach her husband's conduct with the children, and she can't stomach her children do anything that is hard, unless the child seems happy and excited about it.
Her emotions are the center of the relationship, the center of the family, and that ruins things for everybody,.
