Katherine Klimitas grew up with brittle bone disease, her life was always a little different from those of her able-bodied friends. Her parents always made sure she was enrolled in a mainstream school, and although they made her life as “normal” as possible, there were inevitably activities that her friends took part in that she could not. Katherine's mother gave her first watercolor set to combat some of her boredom, and as they say, the rest is history.
