Today our own Jay Siano interviews Bill Stauffer, founding partner at Flatiron Search Partners, a boutique executive-search and growth-advisory firm headquartered in New York City, with offices in Greenwich, CT and Denver, CO, and Jackie Stauffer, founder of RECESS, the new fit-girl beauty line by Well + Good.
Bill Stauffer has spent the past 20 years scaling world-class brands at various growth stages across the consumer, food and beverage, and health care sectors. Bill has extensive experience working with founders, boards of directors, executive teams, and private equity/venture capital sponsors. His tenure with brands such as EHE International, Equinox, Juice Generation, SoulCycle, and Flywheel Sports has reinforced his belief that financial results are always tied directly to the quality of talent across an organization, and the surest path to exponential value creation is the introduction of future-proof talent.
Bill has held roles including COO, Head of Operations, Head of Recruiting, and Head of Training, and he is an active advisor and investor. His true passion is building high-performance teams and cultures for great companies. Bill lives in NYC with his wife Jacqueline.
Jackie Stauffer is a lifetime athlete with a love of health and wellness from a young age, Jackie channeled her passions as a marketing expert for global luxury lifestyle brands including Estee Lauder, Equinox, and Food52. Stauffer’s entrepreneurial spirit is what drove her to carve out a new category and create RECESS. Jackie experienced her “a-ha” moment while working out on her lunch hour, frustrated that she didn’t have time to wait in the shower line before returning to her desk. Inspired by the shared dilemma of the women waiting with her to shower, Jackie knew there had to be a way to combine convenience, efficiency, and personal care. She combined her love of problem-solving with over a decade of marketing expertise to craft a product at the intersection of fitness, travel and personal care, and RECESS was born.
