Digital Democracy has reemerged as a keyword many times since the 1990's, each time meaning something a little different. Some have suggested the term is now too vague to be useful, while others think that the term can help promote discussion of the way that technology can be used to build democratic participation.

For the past three years, with pandemic sweeping the globe, almost everybody has gone through a certain level of 'digital transformation'. From this point of view, the definition of digital democracy is no longer about applying digital tools at work but how to deepen the implementation of digital infrastructure in our society. In this episode, we're happy to have g0v senior contributors Isabel and pm5, joining the host Sam Robbins to discuss what the concept means and whether it is a helpful way to frame what the g0v community is doing, and their ideal imagination of "digital democracy".

「數位民主」這個詞大約在 1990 年代出現，在每個年代都有不太一樣的意思。有些人認為這個詞太模糊、無法精準傳達實際意義，也有人認為這個詞有助於推動數位工具在民主參與上的使用。

不過經歷了三年的疫情，在台灣的我們不管是在職場、學校、政府機關以及各種日常生活場域，或多或少都歷經了一趟「數位轉型」，從這個角度來看當今「數位民主」的定義，已經不只限於有使用數位工具，而是要如何將數位科技的使用，更紮實應用在台灣社會基礎建設上。本集我們邀請到 g0v 資深社群參與者 pm5 和 Isabel 與主持人 Sam 一起聊聊，他們如何定義當前台灣社會下的「數位民主」，以及他們對「數位民主」理想樣貌是什麼？
