Hey, everyone! In this episode, I’m diving into my life as a minimalist traveler. I’m sharing how I run a business and explore the world with just an 8-kilogram backpack. Yep, that includes my beloved Yerba Mate, which takes up a good chunk of that weight. Let’s talk about how living with less can actually mean living more.
Mark your calendars for October 21-28. This retreat is not just an adventure; it’s a journey to discovering what’s possible when you follow your passions. Link to the retreat here: https://www.cc-retreats.com/
So, let’s get into the moment that changed everything for me: buying a couch. It felt like such a symbol of traditional adulthood, and I just couldn’t get on board with it. That experience pushed me to rethink my relationship with possessions. Now, at 38, I manage to run my businesses and travel the globe with just a backpack. Maybe it’s a bit of a Peter Pan syndrome, but it works for me.
I got inspired by a colleague living minimally in Bali. After visiting my fully furnished apartment post-travel and realizing I didn’t miss any of the stuff, I knew minimalism was for me. Owning less has been incredibly freeing, and it’s allowed me to invest more in experiences rather than things. It's a lifestyle that keeps me grounded and flexible.
I challenge you to look at your own life and think about what you truly need. Do you really need all that stuff? For me, minimalism isn’t just about travel; it’s about mental clarity and freedom. I’ve found so much joy in living simply, and I hope this episode inspires you to consider doing the same. Remember, it’s all about living a life that’s a little bit different.
