In this episode I talk to musician Ruth Toynton about her challenging childhood and her musical hopes. 

Ruth Toynton is a singer songwriter and writer based in Yorkshire. Ruth has taken herself from selective mutism as a child to performing on stage and building a successful solo career as an independent artist. 

Ruth has dealt with fatphobia and racism all her life and is the founder of The Green room,  an Facebook based peer to peer support group for musicians of any age at any stage.
