After teasing its existence a few episodes back, we go all-in on this baffling 2016 New Orleans large-scale musical production of the prolific Easter tradition. Apparently the only thing the story of the crucifixion of Jesus had been missing this whole time was questionable covers of early-2000 pop rock songs. And no, to answer your question up front, Tyler Perry does NOT insert himself into the narrative as Madea.
