ABOUT | JANET FIELDS:
Janet Fields was born and raised in the Goose Creek/Summerville area in South Carolina. Most of Janet’s childhood was spent being a personal assistant to her family while they were flipping and making our properties ready for the market. This is where Janet’s spark for the property management industry began and where she learned about all the different ways homes are created from the inside out.
Fields went to school locally at Trident Technical College for Graphic Design and later went on to work as a Government Contractor for five years fabricating and installing communications for the Navy and Marines. At just the age of 22, Fields purchased her first investment property in 2008.
After her first investment property, Fields began working officially in the property management industry with the company that is now known as Oak Trust Properties. In 2014, Fields worked with her father to acquire the company’s first 250 units. Then in 2017, Fields worked towards the acquisition of an additional 250 units. Shortly after in 2018, Fields officially partnered with her father joining portfolios bringing Oak Trust Properties to around 600 properties scattered throughout the Charleston area.
Today Janet’s focus at Oak Trust Properties is to remain a privately owned company that responds to the market at a timely pace to provide the services and support our clients want and need to meet their financial goals.
When Janet is not venturing into new markets and leading the charge in the real estate market, Fields can be found exploring wildlife. Janet loves to be outside, digging up her yard in the garden, bike riding, running, hiking, and walking her dog, Taco! Janet can often be found outside with her children at the park playing frisbee or jumping bike ramps in the front park.
