Finding psych rock or prog rock bands in the 60’s and 70’s that didn’t reside in the UK or the US proves to be a bit of a challenge, but during our exploration we found some of the most exciting music we’ve heard in years.
Song Samples:
Os Mutantes – “Tempo No Tempo” from Os Mutantes (1968)
Flower Traveling Band – “Satori Part II” from Satori (1971)
Vox Dei – “Profecias” from La Biblia (1971)
Tamam Shud – “A Plague” from Goolutionites and the Real People (1970)
The Master's Apprentices – “Buried & Dead” from The Master’s Apprentices (1967)
Los Dug Dug’s – “Lost In My World” from Dug Dug’s (1971)
The Plastic Cloud – “Bridge Under The Sky” from The Plastic Coud (1968)
Tages – “It’s My Life” from Studio (1967)
*Dark – “Zero Time” from Round The Edges (1971)
*OK, this one’s from the UK, but it had to be mentioned based on the cult status of this album.
