Long before the downtown coffee shops were a standard, Tom Johnson started a hobby - roasting his own coffee beans. With a desire to start his own business and just a passing knowledge of how to roast, he started out and, in 2009, Two Roasting Joes coffee was born. He started out selling in some stores and at farmers markets, but always wanted to grow the wholesale part of the business while also starting a coffee shop location on North High Street that also houses his daughter, Olivia's, cake making business, Livy Cakes.

Tom's an engaging and great storyteller and he shares some great insight on starting a business from scratch and how it grows.
