kate.'s guitarist reached out to me last year to play a show with them, which I found to be a little odd because they seemed to be so pop. What would they want to do with weird old me?! As I started to meet and talk with everyone involved with project, I realized that we have similar attitudes to making music - saying what you need to say, being alternative about your approach, and ignoring the system. I've always been hella intrigued that they've been helming that way of making music in such a rules-oriented genre, and so I've been waiting for the day to have this convo for a while!
