1997's Event Horizon, directed by Paul Anderson and starring Sam Neill and Laurence Fishburne, is somewhat of an anomaly. Widely shunned by critics (to this day) and a commercial flop, it has nonetheless built an impressive cult following and remains a favourite for many avid sci-fi fans.
