The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him (Mark 1:12-13).

How can we overcome powerful temptation? Jesus gives us the pattern to follow. He defended Himself and pushed back against Satan's words by using the Word of God. Study it. Know it. But also pray. Lastly, run. Sometimes the best way to escape temptation is to run away from it.
