In today's episode we discuss the holiday "observances/appreciation" months that are on our calendar. Does the government or culture pave the way for what is a holiday? And what is ours to do on said holidays? 

This episode comes at the heels of me, Christina, noticing all of the monthly appreciation/observances holidays highlighted in my google calendar, and then observing International Women's Day last week. ...This doesn't even touch on where Valentine's Day came about and Pie Day or Donut Day and all the other marketing-type appreciation days...

I sense this tension of "how am I supposed to acknowledge this holiday?" And "is there anything that I can ACTUALLY do on this one day or month that makes a difference or matters?"
