It's a tough scripture text, Matthew 10: 24-39. Jesus shares that his teaching may not always bring people together but may separate people, even people closest to us. The way of the Christ may ask us to go against what our parents taught, friends support, political party platform, or personal agenda. Disagreeing with strangers is one thing. Disagreeing with family can be much, much tougher. In this podcast I walk us through what it means to make our lives about people instead of issues and how this might mean we have to disagree with those we love.
