I finally looked up the definition of berate and it means to scold or criticize angrily.  I was taught this behavior and I used this behavior to succeed in life until the life was sucked out of me.  Yeah, let me tell you.....it is not necessary.  It's just a learned behavior that brings you down.    So let's talk about it.
