Jason Davis has dedicated his life to studying, performing and teaching opera and musical theatre in both Canada and the United States. He studied music at Dalhousie University, specializing in performance, and in addition, studied opera at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School.
He has served as the Assistant Director of Hartt Summer Term, was an Adjunct Professor and Stage Director at Acadia University, and was a member of the Voice Faculty and Head Teacher of Music Theatre and Drama at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts.

Not one to keep his talent to himself, he is also a respected teacher and director. He’s a member of a number of professional organizations including the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
He’s also the Founder and Artistic Director of the Broadway Company Players music theatre ensemble as well as the Breaking Waves vocal theatre company in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
On this episode, host Angela de Burger chats with her lifelong friend Jason about being open to where your heart leads you in creative pursuits, his creative process when taking on a new role, and what inspires him to develop new avenues for creative expression.
