Correction:  I said that there's a place in the bible where God says not to speak for him.  More accurately:

(Jer. 18:22) indirectly indicates that prophets shouldn't be presumptuous when speaking from God.  (1 Thess. 5:20-21) says we are to test  everything and hold fast to what is good.
