Rose has worked in a variety of settings with clients from preschool all the way through older adult. She believes that her exposure and understanding of different stages of development helps in her work with all of her clients.
The settings Rose has worked in thus far have included: a residential treatment center; community mental health centers for children, adults, and families; outpatient clinics; an urban early childhood development center; and rural schools.
Currently, Rose is working as a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist in private practice in Berkeley. She works with children, adolescents, and adults in therapy. Rose is also the Mental Health Director at a preschool in Oakland, called Blue Skies for Children. She conducts educational and psychological assessments through Clearwater Counseling and Assessment Services in Oakland, CA.
The foundation for her training has been in psychodynamic/relational theory and she has supplemented this with training in family systems, narrative, behavioral, and mindfulness-based modalities. It has been Rose's goal to learn as many different tools as she can, and to learn them as best she can, in order to offer and apply the most appropriate techniques to those she serves.
