What's up you guys? It's Ellie Blake, your most favorite host, back at it again with another kick-ass episode of the F*ck The Status Quo podcast. If you're new, welcome to the chaos! It's gonna be a good time.
So this week, I interviewed Rachelle Forster. And get this, she actually enjoys her job. Amazing!
Rachelle is a recreational therapist, and let me tell you, this woman is a goddamn magician. She helps people who have gone through some serious sh*t in life, like illness or injury, and helps them heal both mentally and physically.
And how does she do it, you may ask?
By finding out what they love to do and doing it with them. She's even helped people learn to paint again, despite being quadriplegic. That's some next-level badassery right there.
The stuff that she does and her reason behind getting into this career field in the first place is incredibly sweet and just genuinely heartwarming. Shout out to Val! (If you know, you know)
I have so much respect for what she does and the lives that she impacts on a daily basis. But what I love most about her is that she is hilarious and she incorporates that into her daily life. So whether it's a joke of the day on the whiteboard at work, or writing for her humor blog, The Wreck In Recreation, which is, by the way, how I found her to begin with, she does it all.
And you wanna know why she has a blog? Because she enjoys doing it. So take notes from Rachelle, guys. She's a kindhearted person and I think we could all learn a thing or two from her, and she has phenomenal hair.
