“Humour is a great remedy for getting out of your head.”
Photography is much more than the technical mastery of a camera. It’s about our relationships with each other and the environments we find ourselves in. What the photographer sees and what they’re able to inspire in the subject is what will be captured and there can be many dimensions to that single frame of time. Today’s guest is inspired by light, especially the light that comes from within our hearts and that shines when we’re able to trust our surroundings and choose love over fear. Photographer, Carl Studna, builds relationships with his subjects to foster safety and comfort in front of the camera, so that they expose their true spirit and beauty for him to capture.
Carl Studna is a world-renowned photographer and videographer, speaker, teacher and author. He’s known for his photographs of Paul McCartney and His Holiness the Dalai Lama among many others, and his pictures have appeared in the Rolling Stone, Musician, Time and USA Today. He has written two books; Evolution of Loving and Click: Choosing Love One Frame At A Time.
