A study tracks the decline of social trust in America. These trends appear relevant to Canada and other nations across the world. Two sources are responsible for roughly half of the decline. Reduced confidence in public institutions (media, health, education, etc.) and insufficient wages. We explore the downfall of institutions and the stagnation of wages. Then, we discuss how we can move forward.
