Many Christians view the Olivet Discourse in Mark 13, Matthew 24, and Luke 21 as a prophecy concerning the end of the world. However, many Bible scholars interpret this prophecy as having already been fulfilled in the first century. This view is called Preterism in that events are considered to be in the past.
