Two things most people don't know about you?
I'm a skateboarder for life, I snowboard better than I do anything else, I'm an introvert that dislikes the spotlight.
Words to live by?
Hard question to answer! Defining concepts - maybe not words to live by but more-so ideals within my career include:
Attention to detail, Aesthetic, Perspective, “Topophilia” (Sense of place), language, informed design, dialogue… All of these are concepts that “inform the non verbal dialogue” which we have with each and every guest.
Some quotes: what inspires me: “This is the great challenge: to maintain passion for the everyday routine and the endlessly repeated act, to derive deep gratification from the mundane.” -- Thomas Keller
"Have no fear of perfection -- you’ll never reach it." -- Salvador Dali, artist
And my favorite - which ties design and hospitality - “The role of the designer is that of a good, thoughtful host anticipating the needs of his guests.” –Charles Eames
