Harriet has an amazing energy which has seen her build the seriously chic luxury online gifting company www.biscuiteers.com (@biscuiteersltd). Their corporate clients include Tiffany, Apple and Net-A-Porter, retailers include Fortnum & Mason and Selfridges.
We chat about the how and why and then about some of the challenges Harriet has faced whilst growing the business. One topic for discussion is how she scaled up making artisan biscuit with hand-icing into an impressive manufacturing business whilst maintaining the hand-icing.
Harriet shares what the words entrepreneur, success and failure mean to her and the importance of keeping well and what she wont compromise on to do it.
Our chocolate break involves Harriet’s nostalgic choice of the Lindtor chocolate bar. After eating too many chunks (occupational hazard!) we then move onto chat about the importance of wellbeing, what Harriet won’t compromise on for the sake of her wellbeing and more. Being involved with the Women’s Prize for Fiction Harriet’s an avid reader and shares some recommendations.
Finally, you will find me spinning some thoughts on drivers … why we do what we do in life (start a business or start something else). I
My book recommendation: Thrive, Arianna Huffington
Chocolate: Lindt Lindor chocolate bar
Quote: 'Every day the world will drag you by the hand yelling this is important and this is important and this is important. You need to worry about this and this and this and each day, it's up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart and say no, this is what's important.' Ian Thomas
