Jaswant’s relationship with Uganda is bittersweet. In this episode, she speaks about the anguish and hurt caused by the expulsion. At the age of sixteen, she found herself ‘taking care’ of the extended family of 20 people as they left their very settled life in Uganda and arrived in cold and wet Britain. Over the years, she has made several trips to Uganda.
