We’ve all heard the rumors and whether we like it or not, we’ve all repeated them…
It’s URBAN LEGEND WEEK, Goblins! From hookhands to Halloween candy horrors, listen along as we cackle our way through a list of our favorite spooky (and not so spooky) tales from childhood.
Urban legends are the viral videos of the 80’s and 90’s. Before things could spread like wildfire over the sordid back alleys of the internet, they were spread on the school bus, during latchkey, at summer camp, and that’s right, Gobs, even by fax machine. At the time of recording, it is our year of the Gob 2023 and chain letters (what? We thought those died out years ago!) are once again making a comeback. This time, however, it’s in vertical video form and a new generation of youths are experiencing the joys of “Forward this to 5 friends or you will have bad luck for 5 years”. With the return of chain letter superstition, Brooke and Sarah felt like it was time to dust off some old favs and talk slumber party lore. Join us in this hilarious time capsule and see if any of these spooky legends influenced your childhood. You will be shocked by how many urban legends are actually inspired by real world events!
Grab a flashlight, turn off your dome light, and above all else, remember, Goblins….STAY WEIRD!
