Ep 20: Why I Chose a MULTI-GENERATIONAL Family Model Instead of Encouraging INDIVIDUALISM
Our idea of family is a failed experiment. Why? Mostly because we believe family only exists as a springboard for the individual.
The individual is the most important thing. But what’s interesting is no sports dynasty and no successful business have ever succeeded because of an individual. They succeeded because they were strong teams.
In today's episode, Jeremy Pryor shares what led him to realize that American culture was getting fatherhood and the family ALL WRONG. He explains what the actually biblical family model looks like with a patriarchal system that God designed so success was a multi-generational outcome,
Jeremy met his wife April in Jerusalem in 1997 when they were students. They’ve spent the last 20 years building Team Pryor together. They live in a multigenerational house with Jeremy's parents and his 5 children. Together they founded and led several businesses and non-profits including Epipheo (a video production agency) Just Sew (a quilt shop), Family Teams (training content for families) and 1000 Houses (a network of Cincinnati disciple-making households).
