Alzheimer’s disease is more prevalent among African-Americans than other groups. Although it is not a subject we like to discuss, we must begin to increase awareness of Alzheimer’samong African-Americans, expand our participation in research and get services and treatments to those who are affected by the disease as soon as possible.
