In 1937, Wyandot County native Clifford Osbun survived the shocking crash of the Hindenburg, a football-sized dirigible from Germany making its debut trip to North America. When the airship caught fire and disintegrated in less than a minute, Osbun found himself on the ground with just a few burns on his hands. But when Osbun died suddenly four years later, had the Hindenburg claimed yet another victim?
