Gravel Racing Hall of Famer Yuri Hauswald returns to the podcast, to discuss his recent decision to come out of retirement to tackle Unbound Gravel again. This time for a charity endeavor called "Chase the Race", Yuri will start the grueling 200-mile race dead last and try to pass as many racers as possible, all while bringing his legendary stoke to all he comes into contact with. His goal is to raise money for a bike park and bike infrastructure in Emporia, a city that has meant so much to him in his career. We also discuss his 2023 induction into the Gravel Racing Hall of Fame and his storied history with Unbound that dates back to 2013 including the 2015 victory of the Dirty Kanza (now Unbound Gravel). 

Yuri's motivations for returning to racing are rooted in his passion for the gravel community and giving back. As he once said "The midwestern hospitality that everyone speaks of is absolutely a thing at Unbound". Hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did.
