Our default lens of money often holds subconscious programming that is creating limitations in us that we're not consciously aware of. And this applies to every area of money: spending, savings, earning everything related to cash. 

And when we're not aware of our money standards, or what our belief system holds, we don't consciously see the behaviors that are playing out. We don't see the standards that we're setting for ourselves - they just become these behaviors that happen that we are not able to take full ownership with, because we have not identified our money pattern.
