A study from Brown University shows a link between aversion to uncertainty and polarized political views. This phenomenon is noted on both sides of the ideological spectrum. A strong political bias is associated with an inability to tolerate uncertainty and a need to hold predictable beliefs about the world. We discuss the implications of such a finding.
