Today on the pod, I sit down with a fellow ski instructor at the resort, Jack Martin. Last week, we took our PSIA Alpine Level 1 exam. Day one is Movement Analysis; Day 2 is Skiing; and Day 3 is Teaching. Since Jack sleeps in his car when he comes up for the weekend from Boulder, I let him crash at my place during the exam and we really got into it on this one. Jack is getting his Ph.D. in Programing Languages through the Computer Science department and comes up the pass during the weekend to teach little kids how to ski, not a bad side gig if you ask me.
On this episode, we drink Weihenstephaners as Jack describes his research in Programing Languages, the problem with our current political representation, avalanches, the extreme endurance races of Megavalanche and the Tour de France, and we answer the biggest question I've ever asked on this pod: What if LeBron James was a skier? Enjoy!
