Friends, this conversation is one of my most treasured. Today I speak with my best friend Margo Young. We explore her heart wrenching story of loss & the journey of trying desperately to find meaning in tragedy, her relationship with cancer and what it means to live life knowing that she is a carrier of a gene mutation and the stress that comes from packing it all in because of a feeling of pressure that comes from this knowledge. And we also explore how COVID-19 has provided a space and opportunity to re-see the feeling and pressure to do it all in a new way. We also talk about the importance of staying healthy for cancer prevention without allowing perfection and over vigilance to become another unhealthy pattern.
I might recommend grabbing a box of tissue just in case for this one. Don’t be afraid of these emotions my friends, we all need to see, experience and bear witness together. So many of us have been touched by similar challenges to Margo and in sharing our stories we open up the opportunity for connection. Please me in witnessing and joining Margo’s brave journey.

Margo Young is always up for WILD adventure when she's not working her two jobs! As a dedicated environmental health professional AND clean living educator/advocate, Margo works to balance her desire to be outdoors biking, skiing, hiking with boring adult responsibilities. Being the mom of two daughters who can almost ski faster than her is her greatest achievement so far.
