The Bible tells us that sin holds dominion over us and forces us into slavery to it. It does this until we are set free by being connected to the death of Christ. Paul tells us that if we are connected to Christ's death we will also be connected to Him in a new life. This new life is a life of freedom instead of subjugation in sin.
