In this episode, Govind, Prasad and Sarath discuss the recent proposal by National Medical Commission to replace modern Hippocratic oath with Maharshi Charak shapath to be taken by medical students in India. They also discuss the compulsory yoga programs in their induction program with a silly claim that it alleviates suicidal tendencies, depression and prevents ragging activities. They talk about how the Charak shapath has casteist connotations and is antithetical to medical ethics expected in today's age. They also point out the irony with all this given that India had a glorious ancient system of medicine.
