This week we open with another unhinged “Turns Out It Can Get Worse” clip, a basement philosopher confidently announcing he’s “probably not gay.” Which feels like the least convincing press conference of all time.
The boys are learning about the solar system, Nikita casually drops that Pluto used to be a planet, and suddenly we’re fielding questions we absolutely cannot answer. Pluto propaganda is real. I’m convinced.
We break down cross country day, Westy coming second (nearly hunting down a kid who does running as a sport like a psycho), Parker threatening to sit at the start line before running his little asthmatic heart out… and the small detail that the school had to reroute the course because there’s apparently a homeless man living in the bush on school property.
At the gym, my old mate corners me mid-set to tell me he’s been in court, but “doesn’t want to talk about it”, before advising me to simply “make more time” for the gym. Incredible.
There’s a huge dad high when Westy gets his BMX back from the shop and rides it like it’s Christmas… immediately followed by the crushing realisation that I’m no longer allowed to attend school chapel because I’m officially uncool.
