ABOUT THE EPISODE
Acts 8-12 brings fresh and needed reminders that no heart is too hard for God’s grace to soften. He extends grace, mercy, and forgiveness to everyone…and so must we! Be comforted and challenged by these reminders. We clearly see in Scripture nothing–no election, no life circumstance, not you, and not me–can hinder the plans of our God.

BIG IDEAS

• Big Idea #1: From Persecutor to Preacher. There is beauty and power in one encounter with Christ–even in the hardest of hearts. Saul, a religious terrorist, was changed on the road to Damascus and began preaching the good news. What road did God find you on?
• Big Idea #2: The Gospel (Good News) is for everyone – even the Gentiles. Peter was listening to the Spirit and, therefore, able to obey with an opportunity to extend the good news, breaking down cultural barriers along the way. 
• Big Idea #3: James martyred, Peter rescued, and Herod dies. Persecution will never silence the Word of God and will never defeat or overcome His Church.
