The general outline for this conversation is Hosea 8-10. The major theme in these texts is the continued decline of Israel's sin and depravity. This decline goes so far that God says the world will abandon and He will pour out His wrath. It is not a pretty or hopeful picture. So why read it today? It gives us a vivid reminder of our state before Jesus, and should make us ever grateful for the love, grace, and mercy shown to us.
