In today’s episode, Amanda sits down over some straight vodka on ice with actor and filmmaker Knox (Slo Pitch, Barbelle, Letters to Satan Claus) to discuss portraying ex-lovers on scene, growing up Catholic, and the blurred lines between reality and fallacy online. Professionally known as Karen Knox, Knox is an actor and filmmaker based in Toronto. As an actor, she is best known for playing “Veronica” in the critically acclaimed and award-winning series Barbelle (KindaTV), and as “Boris” in the new comedy series Slo Pitch (OUTtvGo). This Christmas you can catch her playing “Holly Frost” in SYFI Network’s anti-Hallmark Christmas Movie Letters to Satan Claus. In January, Knox launched her film Cons and Pros, which she created alongside Gwenlyn Cumyn and J Stevens, on VICE.com. It’s a heist film within a heist, and I definitely recommend checking out both the film and the write up about it on VICE.com.
