Bridging the Social Distance

Ep 220 - Samantha Thai, PRODUCE: HER

Listen Later

For this episode I interview Samantha Thai, Senior Library Assistant at Heffner Studio at Kitchener Public Library, and the program coordinator behind the "PRODUCE: HER" sessions. PRODUCE : HER Sessions is a monthly program for women, non-binary, trans, and gender expansive people who are interested in music production and the recording arts. Sam and I chat about this series, some of the motivation behind it, and importance for carving out this space for folks to learn these skills and find community amongst folks with shared experiences. There are two sessions coming up in the series, and both are free (you don't even need a KPL library card for these!) You can register at the attached links. There's also a survey you can fill out to help support the library with their planning for these types of awesome programs. Thank you KLP and Sam and Heffner Studios for connecting with us!October 26: Live Sound with Shannon Lee - https://www.kpl.org/programs-and.../event-listing/event...November 16: A Day In the Life of an Independent Artist with Maya Killtron - https://www.kpl.org/programs-and.../event-listing/event...Survey: https://forms.gle/YXTk4rJDG3Mb3uPH7
