We follow the life of Tiernan, a girl with an unfortunate name living an unfortunate life after her parents voluntarily yeeted themselves from the chat of life. Our MC Tezza then goes to live with her estranged step-uncle and cousins in their isolated mountain cabin where things get a little… unusual.

We meet many characters through this book, Mazza, Terry, Uncle Charlie Hunnam and cousins Lleyton Hewitt and Creepy Thin Man (who likes to sniff hair).
