In this week's episode I sit down with an old middle school friend, Audrey, and we talk about her many experiences during her journey of motherhood. She shares what it's like to balance being a mother of two in New York City, while also balancing a successful career as a journalist for The Working Mother Magazine. Audrey also details the birth trauma experience she had with giving birth to her son and then immediately going into surgery for hysterectomy. Audrey is also in an interracial marriage and is raising a black son in America. She shares what that experience is like for her. And being that having two kids was always apart of the plan, she lastly discusses her steps towards finding a surrogate and how they were able to welcome their daughter in 2019.
