EP 23: Hit-Maker Karen Kosowski on Building a Career Abroad

Listen Later

Hit-maker Karen Kosowski's start was in Toronto as a performer but in recent years she has made a name for herself as one of the most sought after producers in Nashville having worked on Grammy-nominated projects (Mickey Guyton) and produced segments for the Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl.

In this conversation with Darryl Hurs from Indie Week 2022, Karen discusses her work with American country star Mickey Guyton, for whom she produced the majority of Guyton’s triple-Grammy-nominated album Remember Her Name, and is a co-writer on several of the album’s tracks. With Guyton, Karen has played the national anthem at the Super Bowl and the Grammy Awards, among other high-profile spots.  She talks about her move to Nashville and how to make it in the industry.
