I have learned and grown as a person because of what I have experienced, but I also still have PTSD and probably always will. It's how your brain has been trained to respond and as someone with PTSD, our natural instinct is often to expect the worst case scenario. It's not pessimism, it's a trauma response. In being transparent, I share an example of how PTSD has affected me this week and how I am using coping skills to make choices that promote healing.
