On Episode 20, we discussed the story of Sam, a transgender student at Byron Center High School. Much to our surprise, she reached out to us after hearing our show.

In our e-mail conversations, Sam had this to say:

"If I had just heard the segment about trans people, I might have been upset. But hearing the whole episode really helped to paint context and help me realize that you guys are not looking to my political statements or anything, you're truly just having an honest conversation which is incredible and very important in this polarized time so I just want to thank both of you for doing this podcast."
