My hour long interview with Graffitti Pioneer John “Crash” Matos. From the Streets of the South Bronx to bombing the MTA to fine art. CRASH’s works have been exhibited all over the world and can be found in many permanent collections of prestigious institutions such as The Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Amongst some of his commercial commissions he painted a solar dome clock for Patek Phillipe, designed Luggage for Tumi and he painted Eric Clapton’s five Stratocaster guitars, one of which sold at auction for over $321,000 in 2004.
