Two weeks after a rampage killer at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida killed 17 people, several of the surviving students have been eloquently pushing for stronger gun control. It's inspired a common refrain about how Generation Z is coming of age, ready to make a difference. Allow me to resist this temptation in this simplest possible way: There is no Generation Z.
